Naik Hem Singh (4182340A) made the ultimate sacrifice during operations in the Tiger Hill sector, Drass-Kargil, giving his life so India's tricolour could fly once more.

Operation Vijay ends in India's victory. The tricolour flies once again on every peak. India salutes its martyrs.
